Make sure you have a professional Instagram account.
On Instagram from the desktop, click + Create and then Live Video.
Enter the title of your video and choose one of the streaming options:
Audience: broadcasts to all your followers.
Practice: only you will have access to this broadcast and it’s an excellent way to practice before going live.
Close friends: only followers marked as close friends will be able to watch your broadcast.
Copy your url and transmission key.
In a separate tab, access MultiplierApp, but don’t close the Instagram tab. It should remain open until the end of your broadcast.
Create a new Live or open the studio of an already scheduled Live.
If your Instagram status is ON, clicking start will open the fields for you to paste the copied url and transmission key. If the status is OFF, switching to ON will open the screen for you to paste the url and transmission key.
You can set it up before starting your broadcast or afterwards. Just follow the same steps.
Remember that the Instagram key is valid for 5 hours, so it’s best to generate it and set it up in the studio close to the time of the broadcast.
Your Instagram channel is now set up and will receive the live signal when the broadcast begins.
Go to the open Instagram tab and wait a few seconds. When you see the preview, you can click on Broadcast live in the top right-hand corner of the Instagram screen.
To end your broadcast, don’t forget to end the live on both Instagram and Multiplierapp.
IMPORTANT
The maximum broadcast time on Instagram is one hour. After this time, the live can be automatically closed on Instagram.
After generating the broadcast key on Instagram, you have up to 5 hours to start your broadcast by clicking on Broadcast Live.
You will need to generate and configure a new broadcast key for each live.
If you close the Instagram tab during the Live, it can be interrupted and ended there automatically.
If you only end your live on Multiplierapp, your live will freeze on Instagram for a few minutes before being automatically ended there.
